The REALM is an outreach based on The Prodigal story found in Luke 15 in the bible. It tells of a son who asks for his inheritance early, and then travels to a distant land to spend it on wild living but ends up broke, feeding swine. In his darkest hour he remembers his Father’s house and decides to go back home with the notion of asking forgiveness for living independently. To his surprise, as he approaches, he encounters his Father bounding up and enthusiastically jumping him. Instead of being told off The Father decides to celebrate his arrival by throwing a lavish party. This is the heart of God. There is no punishment. He waits at the door looking for those who will turn to Him, eager to pour out an extravagant blessing. The individual who makes this choice is seen in the animation below. “because there was a time, a moment, a day when I was taken out of The Kingdom of darkness and placed into The Kingdom of Light, through the blood of Jesus, and the darkness doesn’t have a hold over me anymore because I’m a Child of Light”
